I have a better solution.

Let's just overestimate how many troops we have there...
2,000,000 troops.

Let's say that it costs $3,000.00 per troop to bring them back to the U.S. and pull out of this war and cut our losses.

That's 2,000,000 x $3,000.00 = $6,000,000,000

That's a savings of $36,000,000,000.00!
