That's correct. Only in the U.S. is Coca-Cola sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. Everywhere else, it's sugar.
I also read that a chemical analysis of Coke and Pepsi determined that they both have a flavor base of orange-lemon but that Coke has slightly more orange, Pepsi more lemon.
