If your firing full auto, silence is not a real concern. If you sound like a .22 your positition is still given. Hell if you sound like a paintball gun your position is given away too.
If you want to remain hidden, it is one shot from very long distance; period end of story. Though you could pull of 2-3 if your fast with aim or they have zero to little experience. Yet I doubt there would be many who would be able to track a sniper anyways so the point is moot.
