Would you let your eight year old kid walk home at night from a friend's house three or four blocks away? No...you'd be too afraid of the child getting hit by a car, kidnapped or injured in any sense....hell you probably wouldn't let the kid walk that during the day. And why not? Because the kidnappers should know better than to try and steal a child so that automatically will make it safe?

Protecting your child from harmful elements is a responsibility for parents in all aspects of the child's life. Expecting someone else to protect your kid's online life is not only naive but also irresponsible.
