How can you transfer boot information to another hard drive?
Heres my setup.
I have 4 hard drives.
One of the hard drives is really really old and over time its become loud, slow and annoying. There is about 2 gbs of stuff on it, stuff I dont really need. I want to remove this hard drive completely from my system but sadly, it contains the boot information. My windows installation is on another hard drive.
I tried simply removing the drive but the computer wont boot up. It needs that slow POS drive in there for the boot manager to come up.
Is there any way to simply copy the boot information (and just the boot information, no other files, etc) to another hard drive? I want to remove the old hard drive and have one of my newer hard drives contain the boot information so I can start up without this drive having to be in.
I should note, I do not have a windows cd with me here.
