Man Killed When He Barges Into Wrong Home

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A tragic mistake has cost a Florida man his life.
Authorities in Clearwater said a man was shot to death when he barged into a home he mistakenly thought was his. The man lived two doors down in a neighborhood where many of the town houses look alike.
A spokeswoman for the Pinellas County sheriff said Jeffrey McNeil apparently became agitated because he couldn't get into the home early Sunday morning.
The homeowner said he heard pounding and obscenities and shot McNeil when the man made a threatening move. No charges have been filed.
The dead man's father said it was "just an unfortunate accident."
