From my short stint in the porn industry, I've found it works much like small town USA. It's a community where everyone knows everyone, and if someone starts fucking people over, they're going to be quickly outcast.
In mainstream, it's more like New York City than small town USA, so people fuck over people left and right, and then just move on to a new district where no one knows who they are. |
