walk up to any random non-internet savvy person, example, our customers... and tell them a domain name just randomly, continue with a current conversation, then about 10 minutes later ask them what domain name you gave them, 9 times out of 10, if it wasn't a .com they would most likely get it right, except in the .com version and not whatever it really is...
because of tv, its been ingraved into peoples heads to use .com instead of anything else....
