It's not legal in the US this way or any other way.
That's not to say you can't do it and get away with it indefinitely, but it's still NOT legal.
Sending from the UK probably only takes it from a federal violation to an international one.
Don't get me wrong, there's no one doing hard time for this and probably never will be. I'm just putting the info. out there.
