My friends threw a party for me last night which included 10 Germans that have stayed at my home. A common statement that I heard was that Europeans think it is a big deal to travel an hour from their home, and must plans for months in advance to make such a journey.
Even they agree with me that your travel in between EU countries is a joke compared to someone that has traveled all over the US. I am sure they would love to have a discussion with you regarding your elitist views about how you feel you are so much better than the average American.
I found it interesting that you could not even show up at an event in your own country.
