In 1997 I was running a fledging business on borrowed time. It was so bad that I probably would have had more cash if I'd gone on welfare. It was my first business so I made the classic mistake of not wanting to give up my baby, rather than realising it was a lost cause which was better off shut down. (Eventually I saw the light... but it was a few years later!!!)
Incidentally, falling into adult allowed me to repay all of the debts from that business in a timely manner.
