you don't even need to put your name on the list, when a telemarkter calls, just interupt them nicely and say what i just said, they will thank you for your time and remove you... but if you act like a jackass, chances are most telemarketers (alot don't care about you) will just put you in as a call back for 15 minutes, causing someone ELSE to call you...

Or.. when a telemarketer calls you can report them to the do not call register. I have done that in the past and had the Dish company stop calling me.

I'll tell you what; I will much rather be on the do not call list than not and do the spiel you recommend. When I signed up for the registry, my calls dropped from 10 per week to once maybe every 2 months. Easy choice for me..
