D...I don't really get your assumption that I'm not managing my time properly just because I happen to also work on the weekends.
So that it's understood: I wasn't assuming, I was speculating. They're very different actions, imho. Assumptions can be insulting, and I'm sorry if you took it that way... it wasn't my intent, and I hope you can see that.

That's why I asked you "what's so important?" If it's that you promised your partner you'd get that new gallery up tonight, but you forgot to ask the affiliate rep for that custom header that'll help you get the job done, it would seem - to me - that a lack of planning on your part (e.g. time management) is ultimately to blame for your predicament, and not the unavailability of an affiliate rep during the evening hours.

If it's that the FHG's you've set up are 404'ing, then yes - that constitutes a matter that requires immediate attention. Any company worth their salt has protocols to address such matters already set in place.

And so do others. That doesn't mean that their work is their life or that I should require someone I work with to be available during their dinner hours, or when they're out on a Friday Night date, I don't think. It also shouldn't necessarily mean that programs should need to budget in second and third shift individuals to handle matters that could generally just as easily (and probably more effeciently) be handled in the morning, imho.

We don't close support at 5pm and during the weekends. I'm in the office right now (at 6PM on a weekend) to, among other duties, field any problem our affiliates might have... We do have cellphones, and pay attention to our emails, and the boards over the weekend.

This wasn't about Hushmoney. The company I work for is dialed in pretty tight... we handle affiliate support matters at all hours all the time... you were asking a generic industry question, right?

I realize I may be the only one really addressing your question as the devil's advocate right now... but all I'm doing is offering answer to your question with my own thoughts of why you might not be able to find someone during all hours. I think that this business - any business - is about building relationships with people you come to respect...

Demanding that a business partner be around all the time to serve at your beck and call may show a general lack of respect. At the very least, you should be able to wait until he's done putting the kids to bed.
