MAC Firmware Update Breaks Unlocked iPhones!!

Quote:
After warning customers that the next firmware update for its iPhone may render unlocked versions of the device unusable, Apple pushed out a new firmware version which does exactly that.
A report from Macworld confirms that running a firmware update on an iPhone unlocked with anySIM will result in the creation of an iBrick. The phone spits out a "SIM card not valid" error when it's rebooted, and you can't gain access to any of the menus or base functions of the phone -- even when the original AT&T SIM card is inserted. The update also undoes the jailbreak procedure required to gain access to the iPhone's file system.
