From someone who has had their fair share of gfy drama, why does it not surprise me? Maybe with responsible analogies like this, from people who probably haven't even sent us 1 click of traffic this year or are affected at ALL by this situation, this is the cause? Perhaps.
As Melissa said, we are privy to the #s, and the leak isn't as bad as people assume it is. We're not running or hiding from the issue. We also don't have the crazy firefox pop crack, nor are we running it as a loop of endless consoles. The pop is up as a test, and will be removed by Monday. Why did we test it? To see if we can expand our revenues. If we can expand our revenues, then we can pay our affiliates more, and if we don't test it, then we would never know. It's one thing to ask questions, it's another to make assumptions when you aren't privy to the real information.
This is a business. We care about our affiliates, and we're doing whatever we can to try and increase what you make through promoting us. We would never sacrifice sales, we think by running it we wont lose a lot, if any at all. And you know something, after seeing the #s and the conversion ratio, we weren't far off. Talk is cheap, there are a lot of complainers in this thread, most of which probably don't even send us traffic. This is what GFY has become, a hostile place where people make assumptions and rip on people who they don't even know.
