I am the first to admit that we are overtaxed in Canada , Yes I can go to the US to pay less taxes, but dont want to. Leaving North America is not option for personal reasons.

Yup.. Understand you! We left our country of birth after two years of signing revenue checks which would have bought an estate of homes. Just could not stand it any more! I don't mind paying taxes, but that was crazy...
Mmmm.. US? The US folks are coming here ... and many Canadian people - they are all "escaping" the tax regimes of these countries. In the case of US folks, there seems to be some concerns about terrorism and having some "peace" to raise their families. (There is no chance in hell of any "war" here - the last time anyone threatened was many years back and that got an immediate response to back down or else, from almost every Western country. Similarly, this country will not threaten anyone - tis a constitutional thing).
I was speaking with some US guy who just arrived here - he just could not believe the cost of healthcare

.. It costs something like $220/year for *all* inclusive medical care for a family of four - and the World Health Org quality rating on that is one peg above that offered in the US.
But, yea... it does involve consideration to family and other commitments - and this can be hard...
The downside to us is.. the more "immigrants" that arrive, the higher the real estate prices go!

I kinda like buying this "paradise" land at good rates! But hell.. nothing lasts forever!
