Pakistan is an Islamic country. They have nuclear weapons and we don't seem to mind. In fact, Bush removed all sanctions from them after 9/11. He has even provided them with $4.2 billion dollars in military aid. They were also designated a major non-Nato ally under Bush which means they can purchase advanced military technology. Last year we sold them a ton of high tech missiles.
I mean it's not like Pakistan was on our list of state-sponsored terrorism until Bush removed them after 9/11. Or a home to a ton of terrorist camps. Or had an administration behind a plot to blow up some planes coming to the US with liquid explosives. I'm sure they aren't a country that has released a ton of militants from organizations listed as terrorists by the US and UK. Or even allowed released militants to work in their own government. And of course this country is not one that supported the Taliban pre-9/11 and is rumored to be the home of Bin Laden.
Oh wait, they are all those. But if you let us use a few of your airports and provide cheap call centers for this country, your hero George Bush will turn the other cheek.
