I got 5/3 in two different ways:
27x(-25/27x) + 27x(8/9) = 27x(1/3)
-25 + 3x(8) = 9x
-25 +24x = 9x
-25 = -15x
-25/-15 = x
5/3 = x
-25/27x = 1/3 - 8/9
-25/27x = 3/9 - 8/9
-25/27x = -5/9
-25 = 27x(-5/9)
-25 = -135x/9
-225 = -135x
-225/-135 = x
5/3 = x
