Not necessarily true if you look at the bigger picture. And since you're a bigshot program owner, you ARE capable of looking at the bigger picture, right?
I've been out of design for over two years. Half of Adult.coms sites are still my work. Half of Jason and Alex sites are still my work. And there are many others out there still online. If they weren't solid, they would have been replaced by now.
That said, as a designer, in my area of the business, I was one of the most sought after people in the game. Can you say the same of your corner of the business? Is Epic one of the top in its area? I don't think so.
So by comparison, I have excelled. You are but a low level cog in the machine.
