Well, first of all, it's not been concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed suicide in the first place. Second, Kurt never wanted to be rich and famous. All he wanted to do was play music on his own terms. It may surprise you, but there are many people in this world that could care less how much money or fame they have (and for a person like that, being rich and famous is the same as you or me being poor and living on the streets...it's just not what we want in life).
