Yes - rss2blog supports a load of different blogs. With WP you have to be v careful setting the fooker up otherwise your posts end up in about 6 different places - and then you have to mess around with the robots.txt file to try and make sure the bots don't get into your "protected" directories.
Not sure what you mean with the images - what I do is merge an rss feed (that may or may not contain images - always check the feeds are good), with ** original** content. If I want to merge a whole bunch of images I have already hosted on my site, just stick all the html you want to use in a txt file (perfect for random ad placement) and let the program do all the rest.
