NBC apparently is putting stuff online, but in a format that doesn't allow fast forwarding and has the commercials embedded. So just like broadcast TV, you have to sit from NOW to THEN and watch everything in the middle. I think this is probably a pretty effective way to do things.

They are being smart enough to know that without someone to pay the freight, the idea will fail.
Not only that, but the shows wont be available till A WEEK after they air on tv... and its all windows based DRM, so if you are on mac os or linux your out of luck. And the files expire after 7 days. They are just begging for people to pirate their stuff, seriously. I predict it will fail miserably.

They are pulling all their shit from iTunes. They didnt like the fact that they couldnt charge an arm and a leg for the shows and Apple wouldnt bundle their other low ratings shows along with their high ratings shows. With the prices they wanted to set, if you bought digital cable and paid the monthly fee for a Tivo youd come out way ahead if you had a couple shows you keep up with. Stupid. So they decided to pull their content from the biggest online distributer of mainstream music and tv content...
