This is what's holding you back most likely.
Most companies in this biz don't offer benefits, even in house employees are independent contractors for the most part.
It would be hard enough to find an employer that offered good benefits even if you were willing to relocate.
Having an employer whose health insurance would cover you in another state is next to impossible.
