opflix, I share your pain!
I started off publishing erotica of counterculture people in print years ago when it was a difficult, really against-the-grain thing to do. I'd have distributors look at a girl with tattoos and assume she must be underage if she looked like that 'cause a grown-up couldn't. Like tattoos wash off.
Now there are sites run by people who used to sell my magazines and who have watched me shoot and I'd be happy to have been a creative influence if they gave me props, but instead some of these people will quote verbatim things I said in interviews years ago like they invented them. Most of the sites remotely in my niche cribbed a bunch of the text on their affiliate programs (if they have them) from me.
It annoys me when people steal my designs or my photography, but it really really bothers me when people steal my words. Sometimes it makes me afraid to say anything online because it is so easy for someone to just view source, control c, control v, and voila, they get to have an instant personality while biting on me. Grrrr.
