the way you did it here your results are statistically inaccurate to put it lightly. none of your placements are mathematically sound
-
you broke the competition up into flights pitting programs against others in their alphabetical bracket and programs that were up against more popular programs in their own bracket were at a disadvantage over others in less popular brackets
-
logically, the next step here would be to have a run-off between your entries up there, but that would only result in you being sure of the #1 spot even the #2 spot would have a significant enough margin of error to render the reuslts mathematically useless

there would have been lots of ways to have a ranking system in place in the flight system but they all involve using many more tiers than the single one you ran here

i appreciate you at least trying to tell me how to do it better, most people just bitch.
1. You must know that GFY only allows 20 options max per a poll. It wasn't by design that I picked 20 for each groupd but working with what was available to me.
2. How else do you suppose I group sponsors together? Pick names out of a hat? Some people would bitch and say it was rigged, the ONLY fair way is to use the alphabet.
3. I provided wild card spots so if a sponsor was in the same group as a very popular one they still had chances to advance to the final round. Maybe you missed this part when i explained it ?
4. Each of the 20 groups were the " run offs". This was the final poll. I wasn't looking just for number 1, i was looking for the top 20, ranked in order.
So how else could I have done this better, I am open to ideas as I will be doing it again.
