Personally I think all the lying to kids about the dangers of drugs has done more to fuel the drug problem than anything else.

I'm not saying drugs aren't dangerous, but when kids are told they'll end up homeless and god knows what from using drugs, one time can make you an addict for life etc., then the kids try it and find out that's not exactly true and stop believing any of the propaganda and then allot of them end up fucked, others just keep up being recreational users for a long time (although that can sure backfire as well).

Best advice is of course not to use drugs ;)
