A quick nap was kinda normal if there was a delay before a flight. I fell asleep standing up under an F-16 during startup...smacked my head against the fuel tank pretty good. In the sun they get nice and warm and if your already tired it puts you right to sleep.
The only thing worse than this is we use to have crew chiefs fall asleep up inside the intakes of F-16's while checking for cracks on the engine blades.
