That said, I don't promote programs based solely on rewards they offer, be it cash or goods. I promote what converts. If your program doesn't convert for me normally, I'm not going to ramp up my traffic on a bonus day in hopes of hitting higher payouts or getting a PS3.

That's very true
Although, for the money it would cost for a sponsor to buy a couple PS3s and ship them, the same money could be put into higher payouts or adding more sites, content, etc.
Yeah, conversions definitely have to be there as well. A sponsor could offer $150 per signup, but if the sites don't convert, then it's all a moot point. 0 sales pays the same amount, regardless of the bonus or program
