Hollywood implies the sex...it doesn't actually happen. If you're over the age of 10 years old you might understand the difference.

In American Beauty it was about the guy with the mid life crisis. Alpha Dog was a true story. Poison Ivy was about the young femme fetale and the consequences. Even the controversial Lolita. In each one of those cases it fit the context of the movie.
