Yes that could be, but that's the question. Are they going to try to convict people on paper work violations, or are they going to actually try and combat CP.

IMHO I think this will turn into more of an assault on the industry via "records violations" rather than a "real" attempt to do what the law was intended to do.

So far all of the inspections that I have heard about, were on legit businesses with nothing that's really questionable. Why aren't they going after those "child modeling" sites, if they actually want to protect kids.

Remember, they didn't get Capone for his actual crimes.. They got him on tax evasion. One could easily look at this law, and see how it can very easily be used to go after people that make their list.

Just like obscenity cases, no real crime, but it's a way to go after guys they don't like. Being the govt doesn't have a good track record winning obscenity cases, well my bet is on them misusing the intent of 2257 records as a way to bust who they want.

I also think this is a way for the govt, to try and down size adult and push out the little guys. I'm sure they would rather deal with a handful of big companies rather than the thousands of little ones that are out there.

One sure way to push out the little guys, is by regulating them out of business.
