Did the dentist remove the nerve from the tooth? Usually they use a metal file that looks like a few inches of twisted wire, and if you're feeling pain inside a tooth that has been root canaled, it may be a bit of the file left behind, or some nerve that didnt get removed. If thats the case, you need to go back in.
Either way, I've never had a root canal that really hurt after a handfull of advil and a nap. I'd go see someone if its still hurting the next day.

Apparently in poland its a two-visit process. First they drill a hole and kill the nerve using some sort of poison. This is so it stops hurting. Then once its dead they remove the nerve. My next appointment, which is when she is removing the nerve and putting the filling in, is in about 2-3 weeks.
Right now my tooth is fine. I'm a bit scared to eat though. I'm living off yogurt...Although i did eat some chocolate (kinder egg) to test and it seemed to be ok. I figured if eating something is going to put me into some serious pain, it should be delicious
