I need to add an header/footer to all my *.shtml pages on a given directory.

I know that I asked this question before, but the webmaster that reoplied me sent me to this page: http://www.evolt.org/article/htaccess/18/226/

I tried their codes, and it doesn't seem to work. In fact, it makes all the webpages impossible to find.

So I am asking if anyone has another htaccess code to do it?
