[Blog Tip] Enhancing your users experience - Wordpress plugins

http://www.justjace.com/2007/09/11/e...press-plugins/

So, I get a lot of people asking me what does "enhancing your users experience" mean? I think this is something that everyone interprets differently, but to me it means anything on your blog that will make a user have more fun or interact more with your posts. Yeah, that sounded corny, but it really does work, and let me tell you some plugins that I use to accomplish this.

I am using all of these plugins on my blog, so if you need to see anything in action, just poke around this site.

Add This Social Bookmarking Widget - This is an awesome little widget that gets placed at the end of each post, it lets your users easily add your posts to their favorite social bookmarking sites. Want an example? Look below this post

Link To Me Textbox - This is a cool little plugin that places a "Like this post? Link to it from your site" box below every post. Here is an example on my Adult RSS Feeds post.

Related Entries - Very useful plugin that will place a list of related posts under the current post.

Spam Karma - This is a comment spam plugin for your Wordpress comments. This is nice for both users and blog owners, because it is a "learning" plugin for spam that will work with you when stopping spam, and the more comments you flag in the admin, the more it learns what is and isn't spam.

Subscribe To Comments - This plugin lets users subscribe to comments, so any time new comments are posted for that particular entry they have subscribed to, they get emailed. This let's users get nice discussions going with other users.

Ultimate Tag Warrior - Simply put, this plugin installs a "tags" system to your wordpress blog that lets users find other posts on each particular topic easier. Examples from my blog: RSS Feeds : SEO : Social Bookmarking

Post Ratings - This allows users to rate each post. It has a lot of options to configure, so be sure and read the manual.

Post Views - A simple plugin that shows how many views a particular posts has gotten. NOTE: After you install this it will take a few loads before it starts displaying, it confused me at first, but I went to sleep and woke up and it was working perfectlyy
