Christmas/Easter/Good Friday/etc - Christianity has been responsible for millions upon millions of deaths since its inception. Would be "just plain fucked up" to celebrate or purchase items at a sale that celebrates it.
Presidents Day - Tons of sales that take place on Presidents Day. The celebration of Presidents who had slaves.
Valentines Day - The next time you take your girl out to eat or buy her some flowers on this day, remember that you are celebrating the execution of Christian martyrs.
I can go on and on with holidays and specific days we use in society for profit. 9/11 is another day that we will eventually hold sales and promotions for in 25 years. We sell t-shirts, flags, and other memorabilia. We have TV specials, countless books, and major motion picture movies that have profited from 9/11. This just seems like a way for people to bitch about something that probably didn't offend anyone.
