i used to live right around there! matter of fact, that was where i was living when the september 11 attacks took place..
i was a big time night owl at that time of my life, so i was definitely sleeping. my bedroom was upstairs, and i woke up to my sister screaming to me from the bottom of the stairs to get up and come downstairs right away. i had no idea what to expect, i thought she was hurt or the house was on fire or something, from the urgency in her voice.
i got downstairs and see her sitting in a chair just watching tv. i started to get a little ticked that she had woken me up and told her that i was going back to bed. she insisted that i look at the tv long enough to figure out what they were saying and i was instantly in horror. i didn't feel tired at all anymore and i stayed up the rest of the morning glued to the tv until i had to go into work in the afternoon.
