Sure... agree Mike. Most of the arrests probably do come from professions or active areas where there is likely to be children congregating - and unfortunately from professions where there is, as you said, a position of trust. Whether consciously or not, folks with deviant interests obviously are drawn to areas where children are present.
Got an LE friend who has been tracking a priest for at least four/five years. He committed multiple offenses against children and has been jumping countries during this time. Last contact - tho it may have changed since, was in Guatamala where he was known as a priest and, predictably, worked himself into a situation where he was "helping children" - another postion of trust scenario.
To be honest, been in adult for decades and anything to do with children was never on the table for discussion. It never seemed to have any relevance to the adult biz - tho the general public may now think both CP and the adult industry are in the same melting pot. Thinking back.... if anyone we knew ever engaged in CP activity, there are a number of people in the industry who may have considered more 'instant justice' with no need for LE or courts *lol*
Got an "education" into child abuse/CP around the late 90's when I asked an LE friend to explain what it's all about, how common etc, what it means to victims blah - and was introduced to a number of people working in this area, not just LE folks but medical (psychiatrists etc) and those involved in victim support. The thing with the biggest impact above all - was chatting to a few victims. It was like a bullet impact on the brain and will never forget those chats. I've stayed in contact with a couple of the victims and would not hestiate to help them in any way I can. One has very severe problems resulting from abuse and it's baggage she will probably carry all her life - a life ruined - very sad stuff.
BTW.. Some of this stuff can be hitting the area of extreme. Not familiar with the current status, and don't ask unless info is offered, but involves the "disappearance" or possible murders of children - LE "know", but they just don't have enough evidence for a court - yet, especially where the bodies have never been recovered. Conversely, kids have murdered their parents in relatiation for sustained abused over a number of years.
Re your comment about Google alerts and kinda related when it comes to keyword research. It's disturbing to see the volumes of engine searches relating to.. basically a deviant interest in children. Some of these terms match mainstream phrases and can even surpass them. If search terms are an indictor of a microcosm of society/civilization - shit, we got big-time servere problems.

, but don't consider CP has anything to do with the adult industry - it is the result of abuse of children for often, monetary gain. Every aspect, from the "models", shooting of material, purveying this to sick elements of society - is clear-cut illegal, immoral and vile conduct by bottom feeders of the human race. Tho that implies disrespect to real bottom feeders who at least have a purpose for their existance.
