So this is how it goes...
Some affiliate programs are frustrated because some of the content they try to sell are being offered in Bittorrent/Tube sites for free. So the first thing they fear is that net value of a customer will decrease over time. Tube/BT sites are getting bigger and bigger all the time and "compete" with those affiliate programs so to say by offering content for free. A good example of this fear can be found for instance with VG contnet. just follow his posts. So what does VG contnet try to do in order to stop the phenomena - he tries to call all Bittorrent sites illegal and thief's and tries to accuse the advertisers running on those sites . He thinks that Iis his business interest to destroy those sites completely.
Now this is the reality:
most of the tube sites and the big bittorrent sites are actually DMCA complaint, meaning if those site get a request from a publisher or right owner to delete a torrent/movie they would do that instantly. This is a fact! and no one including VG contnet can prove else wise. (remember that I have said most and not all)
So instead of accusing the advertisers and the rest of the world, why VG contnet is not asking himself why doesn't he protect and police his intellectual property on the net? Why isn't he sending DMCAs to puretna or to megarotic? (and if he has done let him please present it in this thread otherwise we can only assume he did not) why he does not accuse his content owners/partners for not sending DMCAs and policing their content?
the point is that VG contnet will still be frustrated on those sites also if they will not include even one single byte of his content. You know why? Because they will still have a shit load of content to offer for free and they will still be a threat and competition for him. So DMCA is not of any value for VG contnet ! That's why he does not practice it from his side. if VG contnet thinks that his attitude is going to solve the situation - let me tell him that he is totally wrong. If he thinks that cutting the sponsors from BT site and tube sites is going to stop them from existence - then he is a boy, if he thinks that his attitude is going to stop them from doing money - he is probably stupid as well! on the contrary his attitude will cause those sites (are turning out to be the biggest engine deriving new business for content owners) defendant rather then coperative! So killing sites like that will actually hurt the industry and reduce the sales of porn even more!
What do you think TGP sites, BT site and tube sites sell? only Dating product? Not at all! the majority of the revenues come from paid programs! isn't that a contradiction? how come a user buys a program from a site that offered it for free? Let me tell you why.... porn is an addiction - its like cigarettes - the people that buy porn are the ones that consume if for free at the same time. one can only think that the people that are buying porn on the net are the ones that are not aware of the methods getting it for free. But that's not the case! the best valued customers are the ones that consume porn for free on the net at the same time.. So killing those BT tube sites is going only the hurt the industry as a whole! the total revenues are going to shrink.
On the legal side of things, most of the Bittorrent/tune sites are legal as long as they comply with DMCA or practice it is some other manner! as long as they work things out with the publishers on an abuse/file/page basis. You all need to understand that Bittorrent sites and tube sites are a platfrom... the admins of the sites do not have any judgment what's the content types that are being submitted buy many thousands and thousands of users. They do not upload the stuff themselves and they do not tell other users what to upload... its like an internet democracy! If copyright owner has a problem with an act of one of the many users/submitters and he does not practice DMCA then he hasn't got any right to call them thief's and accuse all of the world. He should rather re examine his own business practices
