Keep in mind the DOJ is mostly staffed by these people. The Bush administration for the last 8 years has drawn very heavily from places like Regents Law School (Check it out on Google, I can't post a URL yet). It's part of the reason Gonzales had to resign - they were packing the place with those who are "right-wing radical and hypocritical religious freedom-robbing vile loud mouths" mid-term.
Many of the moderates have long since left the DOJ. Just be aware that the letter with that language will probably hurt more than help. Granted, if you feel like calling a spade a spade, I can't fault you.
