actually, i walk to work a lot, or ride my bike,(two blocks from home), and i continuously give the homeless whatever change i have in my pockets, (mostly because i am not a blinger and dont carry money much, i use my card for anything. the funny thing is once you give them something, they get aggressive. now everytime i go by this one guy here in chatsworth, he always hits me up. when i tell him that i don't have anything,(which, when i don't i really don't), he tells me i'm lying to him.

there was a time around 2000-2004 when i was djing downtown a lot in dan diego's gaslamp district that i was living the high life and eating expensive dinners who the club owners and shit before gigs that i would make people box the extras and we would go around and give it to the homeless in downtown. the city has run a lot of them off with the new ballpark coming in and such, but in those days downtown was a really tight knit area and everyone knew everyone and such and so forth.

what is sad is that you can't help everyone. that sucks.

the superman guy i am talking about, my buddy always helps him (i dont live over there), and the gas station takes care of him too. one time he ran away because he's loony and all and had delusional thoughts, and the gas station guys went looking for him and brought him back to the shed so he had a place to stay.

i have to admit that some of them here in l.a. are scary and aggressive and if you don't help them, they cuss at you. one time i tried to give a guy some untouched, uneaten on leftovers from a restaurant all bagged up nice and shit, and he said "i don't want that, you got a couple bucks for a 40 ouncer?"

i'll give em food and try to help, but if they just want to get loaded, i don't want to contribute to their problems.
