The clubs themselves may not be the ones actually selling the drugs, but they're providing an environment in which drugs can be distributed and used freely (and might even encourage it), and, as a result, they get shut down.... I've seen it happen all over the U.S... and it's an apt analogy here, I think.
I agree that we gotta be careful here, as there's a lot of privacy issues and rights of expression that could be easily trampled on... but for the first time, really... since all this piracy crap begun... technology's catching up to the end-product's specs... you can rip an entire site or DVD line with ease these days, host it, and let people download your company's last 4 years of work over the course of a few evenings of afk queued downloading... distribution of proprietary content without proprietary consent is not something that can be overlooked now as much as it has been in the past.
There has to be a middle ground here where privacy and freedom of expression issues are kept while allowing people to have control over their copywritten property.
