If you're curious about Ubuntu, but never heard of it, never tried it, etc.. Give you a tip! It's super easy (within windows!) to go to the Ubuntu site, download the Live CD, and boot from the disc. No HD installation necessary, it will load the OS and you can click around and do most things before deciding to install it on a partition or another machine or whatever. Neat way to blow an hour anyways.
I haven't gotten the balls up to overwrite my main OS yet, but I have enough parts for a spare PC here, so I think I'll try it on there very soon
