It may be more relevant to concentrate on the next few centuries on earth and be of practical use. The fact is we have not solved relatively simple problems in comparison - world food, disease and altenative energy etc. Maybe then they can start on how to not fuck up the planet? Duh??
Sure.. nothing wrong with knowledge-gathering and understanding more of the planetary system, but hell - we are so damned backward and dumb about this planet - the only 100% certain prospect is in screwing up/contaminating other planets. Until we can get a clue about managing ourselves - what point??
