lastly Matsushita has owned both JVC and Panasonic for as long as I can remember ... Matsushita Group currently operates 49 companies in China, with annual turnover reaching approximately 300 billion yen. What you read about some 7 months ago refered to Matsushita diluting holdings in JVC from 52.4% to 36.8%, allowing it to stop treating JVC as a consolidated subsidiary and handle it as an equity-method affiliate. allowing it's other holdings (pana) to pick up the slack. Matsushita has owned JVC since the early 1950s
