I tend to agree with Tony about JVC's HD cameras .. I've had some experience with them when they first came out some 7 years about and then again for an adult xxx film I directed and shot a few years back ... It was a night mare ...

I don't know the GY-HD110U. However I just glanced over the specs and Tony is right, no 1080i settings are to be found... In reading the specs the camera looks to be a good TV broadcast camera for 720 and offers a 24p in 720 though I can't for the life of me see the need for that setting on such a camera.

According to the DV compression (4:1:1) this is a HDV camera and not a ProHD as they claim.
