In your country, do they show CRIME SUSPECTS on TV, *AGAINST THEIR WILL*?
Just a thought I had recently...
It's pretty common here to see a crime suspect (rape, murder... anything like that) on the news, while he's sitting inside court or being led by policemen.
Most of the time the suspect uses his coat or shirt to cover his face so people won't recognize him at home.
Is this a common sight where you live, or is there a different policy, e.g: 'it's illegal to film a suspect'?
Just wondering, since it's a little embarrassing to watch really. I mean, yeah... this guy probably commited some serious crimes, but still... why film him against his will? plus, sometimes the crimes are not as serious as rape or murder...
Besides, If you do film him already, what's the point in allowing him to cover up his face?
What do you think about this?
