I shave my head about once a week, never had hair longer than 4-5 inches, or bangs to my chin, but shorter on sides max, and that was grade 8..lol
I think long hair on a guy looks retarded 90% of the time,some guys like Rob Zombie make it work, the greasy dude on the subway, not so much
