I use blogger.com -- their free service is top-notch, you get everything you need to run a good weblog. They also have a pro package, but I'm not sure what's in it. It differes from Movable Type and Grey Matter in that the script that runs it is on their server, not yours -- which is handy for those like me who fuck up CGI scripts more often than not.
At the moment I'm setting it up so that my updates page is powered by blogger, along with a daily personal weblog to keep people coming back daily -- should work, since the pull of the site is that it's a personal amateur girl type of site.
Thanks for the "Coming Soon" tip! I'm going to make use of that!
