I apologize for getting flippant in my first post.
I was already in a bad mood over the AFF/torrents BS, and a bit drunk and tired at 5am. I should not have gone off that way.
There have been several scams on GFY, and there were certain things in the plea for funds post that sounded suspicious, such as saying the cause of the paralysis was unclear, and that he either had a blocked or ruptured vein in his head. Those are two totally different conditions, and an MD should be able to diagnose either rather quickly.
I also questioned if the problem is unknown, how is it known what surgery, if any, is necessary?
In view of that, I wondered how can a specific dollar amount be applied to a surgery when it isn't even known what the surgery is for?
I know I am very skeptical, but I've heard so many stories over the years, that have caused me to be that way.
Anyway, I hope your friend recovers from whatever is wrong with him.
