I guess, the argument is that people wont have time to go back and check the DNA after the trial, since the defense lawyer decided he didn't want to check it to proove innocense as its much better for him to get his clietn convicted first - then win on appeal or something. If thats the case, then yeah... I guess this does suck.

Or, I guess perhaps there is some OTHER form of evidence coming in the not so distant future (Time Cops?) that will proove something beyond the current technology.
