So with all the threads about content stealing sites and the mixed reactions it is clear that something should be done.
However it is not only torrent sites, how about affiliates that steal content from site A to promote site B. The Sponsor program of site B keeps quiet because they like the sign ups. I can call out sponsors but something is in the works already regarding this, so I will shush for now.
I think one of the main problems would be "recognizing the content" with the amount of content available from sponsors it is really hard to pin point which content belongs to who.
I saw in another thread earlier that someone mentioned to niche it out and I believe that is a very good point (

Charlie).
I for one recognize BBW content in the blink of an eye and I know which content belongs to who in this niche. I am sure other people in other niches can do the same.
So maybe it would be good to create a database somewhere, our own report system, not sure how it would be done so we all benefit from it and obviously things cost money. But getting your content stolen cost even more.
So maybe a central point where we can report "content from company A was recognized on site B and so on. It is then up to the owner of site B to write C & D's etc. Hell maybe we should have C&D's available for people, not everyone has those. Aff programs should be able to log ins and see the reports and the reporting itself should be available for everyone.
This hurts everyone, even if you don't own content and only do submission, you're also fighting and competing with sites that distribute stolen content.
Ok, I am rambling on, but I would like to hear more and see who is really serious about this.
